Two Faces of Istanbul (TV series, 2013)

A modest girl, Neriman, grew up in a poor and conservative neighborhood of Istanbul, Fatih. Having lost her mother early, the girl was raised by her father and aunt. Neriman's childhood friend, Shansi, is in love with her, and until recently, the girl was confident in their shared future. But Neriman's entire familiar life begins to change rapidly when she meets Majid, a guy from a wealthy family. Majid grew up in a completely different Istanbul—in the rich and modern neighborhood of Harbiye, located in the European part of the city. Its residents hold more liberal views. Majid's father, the influential businessman Kerim, wants his son to marry the daughter of his friend Selim, Pelin. Selim is the brother of Neriman's deceased mother, but due to Selim's feud with her father Faziz, their families have not communicated for many years. One day, Neriman and her friend Fahriye meet Pelin along with her sister Duygu. They invite the girls to a party at Majid's. This chance meeting between Neriman and Majid awakens mutual feelings in them. But can lovers from such different worlds be together?
